What is the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT)?

CTPAT was established in November 2001 by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The program was designed to improve the security of the US supply chain while also facilitating the flow of legitimate trade. Since its inception, CTPAT has expanded to include partnerships with foreign governments, businesses, and other stakeholders to create a more secure and efficient global supply chain. There are over 11,000 companies that are Certified Members.
